one question; do you scan specific textures per piece or manipulate library stuff to fit?

For the textures, the best way to do them is with a brush, do a quick google search for photoshop brushes. It really helps to have a tablet as most texture brushes are designed with pressure sensitivity in mind, so some won't even work with the mouse, I mean, they will, but not properly.
